Everywhere I turn there Diane is....

It is such sweetness to find yourself resonating in the same energetics! This was my first time dancing with Diane, and our paths intertwined so often. Diane follows motion with the ease of a slinky cat, with the sharpness of a thunderclap, with the solidness of a wild mustang breaking free across the plain, with the flight of a humingbird, and with the grace of a perched heron.

Mystery Woman This woman danced with us at the beach, and when I asked the drummers who she was, no one knew. She was really in the dance! Earlier in the evening she told me that she had found the 5Rhythms a few months back.

The Embrace of Mother Ocean

The Embrace of Mother Ocean

The picture is dark, but the dance is pure light. Such communion and unity held by the lapping arms of mother ocean, and the solid bowl of mother earth. Saturday evening at Muir Beach to the sweet sounds of the ocean waves and a flute in the distance.

Additional comment added 6/24/06. The essence of such community and unity was the being here and now. Creation is a here and now act resulting in maybe a revelation or a communion or insight. These moments of shared reverence are as neccessary as our shared joy and shared pain.

Beach on Fire

Members of the Olympia tribe shared a picnic dinner on Muir Beach on Saturday night after day 2 of Kathy Altman's Cycles.

We were delightfully seduced by a nearby groups' drumming. Led by the fearless Syd, we advanced upon them in the tribal beat, and made the beach alive with dance. Many others from other groups joined us and it was incredible alchemy.
