If the body does not lie
mine says I love you
every time we dance.

No words, no concepts – that’s the starting point in my (relatively new and underdeveloped) understanding of instinctual body language. “Love” is an expression of the heart, a natural impulse for connection with another (and all) heart(s) – minus the social conditioning that layers on the mental and egoic complications that 5R allows us to drop however temporarily. A non-personal connection, in other words. A recognition from deep within that the 75-trillion cells moving so divinely in front of me is an energetic, hugely creative source of ever-unfolding, evolving potential.

How can I not love something so rare and precious with all my body and being? And that's no lie! (Having read your previous entries, John, I’m aware that you know this already, but thanks for inviting the dialogue.)

The first line won't leave me: "If the body does not lie." I know that body language is something we've recognized for some time as a something that reveals our thinking. So I'm wondering, when I dance with you, or you dance with me, or anyone dances with anyone, in what ways does the body say I love you? I don't know, I'm just wondering, asking . . . what do you think? What does anyone think?

What a beautiful, poignant thought, Trudes. Thank you so much for sharing that.

John :)
