Who will sign the surrender agreement?
Submitted by Visudha on Tue, 2008-07-29 18:48.I was returning to my home in Taos from teaching at the Omega Institute yesterday, and spoke at the airport with a man who was a private contractor for the National Defense. We spoke about the current state of affairs in the United States and the ineffectiveness of our defense strategies. At one point, he poses the question, "Really, who is going to sign a surrender agreement?"
Yes, I wonder, about our own dances, "Who will sign the surrender agreement?" What will it take for us to surrender to not only what is true and real, to our possibilities, potentials, but beyond into the deepest place of infinite grace?
This is an act of true courageousness, to surrender so deeply to the dance, to the infinite wisdom within. If we cannot sign surrender agreements in our own beings, how can we hope that our relationships, families, communities, countries, the world sign surrender agreements?

Submitted by Visudha on Wed, 2007-11-21 17:33.Funny, I noticed when I logged in to do my daily porno spam check that Move and Be Moved has me as a member for 2 years and 5 hours. That surprised me - - today is the second anniversary of Move and Be Moved. Wow! Time has flown.
Not only is it an anniversary but it falls near this time of Thanksgiving. Thanks to all who contribute, and who participate. It is a beautiful extension of our 5Rhythm and spiritual communities. This has truly been a gift to me.
The new year for M&BM starting also coincides with my steps towards a new year in a new location. In this move, I reflect upon words of Lao Tzo who advocates affirming a life of simplicity and integrity, consuming only for the body and soul, and defining the essential self through acts of love and service.
Gabrielle Roth Speaks on 5Rhythms

Submitted by Visudha on Sun, 2007-10-21 20:03.The verse at Olympia's Sunday Morning Early Wave.
To serve humanity,
there is nothing more important
than to be moderate.
To be moderate
is to return to the female yin principle.
To return to the yin
is to become nurturing.
To be nurturing
is to acquire enormous capacity.
To have enormous capacity
is to be ready for the Great Integrity.
To be ready for the Great Integrity
is to be ready to serve humanity.
In this way we will become firmly planted
in the Great Integrity,
the pathway to a clear vision and a long life.
Site Changes
Submitted by Visudha on Fri, 2007-09-28 18:44.My attempts to prevent porno spammers has not had the effect I anticipated. First, they are still logging in(and sometimes still getting their stuff posted) , and second, my dear legitimate posters have declined...so back at the drawing board.
I discovered that I could require approval of user accounts, so I've enabled that, and have disabled the approval of posting. If you are an existing user than please feel free to begin posting again without sensorship, and if you would like to post and don't currently have an account, please register and we'll get you going quickly.
Best, Visudha

Site Maintenance
Submitted by Visudha on Mon, 2007-07-23 18:20.Friends,
I'm very dissapointed. This site, in the spirit of community was designed to allow unmoderated posting by any person who creates a log-in and wishes to share about their dance of life. Unfortunately we have been spammed with x-rated material 4 times in the last 2 weeks.
Fortunately the material has not remained on the site long but it still affects the safety and sacredness of our hearts and content.
After speaking with several users we have come up with some ways to prevent this violation. Beginning immediately we will institute two measures. The first is a temporary fix until the spammers stop trying to access the site. For the time being you may create content which will post to your personal blog, but it will go into the cue for approval for the front page. This is to ensure that no more ugliness will be posted on the front page.
Which brings us to the second measure. If you would like to be a part of the team to monitor and approve content please contact me and I will give you an editor's assistant permission which will allow you to help review and approve the material.
When I am away from the internet more than two days I will also ask someone to pay particular close attention to the site.
If you notice any issues with the site, please call or email me. Thanks, Visudha
Bright, Bright Sunshiny Day
Submitted by Visudha on Sun, 2007-07-01 18:58.Shawn Swanson, 5Rhythm teacher from California visited the Olympia Tribe this week, masterfully spinning his tunes and rocking our worlds at this morning's Inner Wave and Sweat Your Prayers.
His SYP invitation was to meditate upon returning, which he delivered with a gentle, nurturing voice. Wave upon wave he guided us through the mysteries of returning, returning, returning with a great selection of music inspiring release, freedom, deep joy and connection.
I am reminded through this dance of Robert Henri's words, "There are moments in our lives, there are moments in a day, when we seem to see beyond the usual. Such are the moments of our greatest happiness. Such are the moments of our greatest wisdom."
